Ankita Mohanty is an Advocate with close to fifteen years’ of experience at several of India’s leading law firms. During her career, she has advised Indian and multinational businesses – including several Fortune 500 companies and brands recognised as well-known marks – on the protection and growth of their intellectual property.

Her practice covers the full spectrum of IP work, from clearance and prosecution to portfolio management, enforcement, and commercialisation, giving clients a single point of contact across every stage of their brand’s lifecycle.

For start-ups, Ankita brings the same rigour she applies to established enterprises – helping founders identify what is worth protecting early, structure sound contractual foundations, and build IP strategies that scale in step with the business. She helps her clients achieve successful commercialisation across India and abroad by advising on strategies appropriate to the brand, vision, and value the product or service brings.

For clients and law firms based out of India, she serves as a single, experienced point of counsel in India, pairing deep command of the Indian IP landscape with the ability to coordinate seamlessly across jurisdictions.

A graduate of the prestigious Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Ankita trained with leading IP practices before holding senior roles at established law firms. After more than a decade in specialist practice, she founded AMara Law as an independent, partner-led intellectual property firm.
